I bought one of these 410s a year ago to use for catching saltwater baitfish such as pinfish, croaker, whiting, etc. Liked it so much I ended up buying a 2nd one and now I use them on my surf fishing charters as a really fun way to target the fish that hang very close to the shore. It gets bit literally 10x as much as the big rods do, usually small fish, but it's not uncommon to catch keeper sized black drum and redfish with it, sharks, stingrays, etc. It has become one of the most important pieces of gear I bring on my charter trips, especially ones with younger kids and they absolutely love it. I can't think of another piece of gear I have that has a bigger smiles to price ratio/value.

I fish ultralight and this 410 is perfect. I use mine to fish the mini trout magnets 1/200 oz jigs with the bobbers and can cast it out at least 20 ft easily. I use it for bluegills and bass.
