I bought two of these for me and my dad. First trip out, I went to set the hook on a bream and the line winder came loose and let line out. Who knew a little 3 oz bream could snatch line off a pole! Matter of factly, two more fish did the same thing. My solution was to get a rubber band from some broccoli I purchase and put it on the pole to cover the winder handle. But THEN, on another fishing trip I broke the line twice as I got hung, and when I went to pull more line, there was only enough to reach from the end of the pole to the reel. Has to restring. So, if you buy this one, get one of those rubber bands from broccoli and restring before you head out. Also, dad broke the line that came with it on big crappie that casually swam away with the jig. You should restring with 4 or 6 lb line. Other than that, this is a marvelous pole.
Rods are nice, reels fall apart. rod end plugs fall out. Shipping cost is high compared to the rod cost. Consider adding a spare tip and end plug with each rod.
